Following the success of the ISL 2010 – 4^th International Symposium on Laser-Micromachining held in Chemnitz, Germany, we are pleased to announce that the Hong Kong Critical Components Manufacturers Association together with The Hong Kong Polytechnic University are organizing the ISL Asia 2011 – International Symposium on Laser-Microprocessing which will take place in Hong Kong on 19^th – 20^th October, 2011 at the Hong Kong Science Park.

The Symposium is a cross-disciplinary forum which brings together researchers, industrialists, end-users and laser suppliers to exchange knowledge and share insight of latest research findings, news, applications and solutions as well as future opportunities in laser microfabrication. It is also the aim of the Symposium to serve as a network for those who are engaged in this field of research.

The agenda of the Symposium will balance scientific themes and business opportunities in focus areas of:

• Solar cell processing
• LED processing
• Flat panel displays and touch screens processing
• Precision molds and dies
• Biomedical devices
• MEMS and Microelectronics

承接去年第四屆國際激光微加工論壇(ISL 2010)在德國馬克思城舉辦之成功，香港關鍵性零部件製造業協會和香港理工大學工業及系統工程學系將於2011年10月19日至20日於香港科技園聯合舉辦“國際激光微加工論壇”。

激光微加工技術有效提升產品質素、模具加工精準及減少生產上之污染，有助優化生產，故受到各行業廣泛應用。而透徹了解微激光技術的優點及掌握其嶄新應用範疇，有效使各行業轉型至高增值製造行列，提高競爭力。
